Rangers want to sign Kwame Poku as transfer offer made via Zoom

Rangers will undergo a summer of change, with new owners and a new manager set to grace Ibrox.

The manager position is still vacant, although it appears Davide Ancelotti is set to take the reins at Rangers.

Whoever takes charge will have much work to do to close the gap on Scottish Premiership champions Celtic.

The Gers must bring in quality, and it seems that they are already eyeing up Peterborough United’s Kwame Poku.

Poku subject of leftfield transfer approach

Poku is a wanted man, with no fewer than 26 clubs keen on signing the League One forward.

The Ghanaian is out of contract this summer, meaning he can be picked up on a free transfer.

It is clear to see why the 23-year-old is in demand as he has notched an impressive 20 goal involvements for Posh this season.

Rangers are one of those teams, as they strive to make ground on the Bhoys in what will be a new dawn at Ibrox.

However, they face competition from Celtic, as well as a range of Premier League and Championship clubs.

One of those teams is Birmingham City, who have pitched their offer for the midfielder via Zoom, according to GiveMeSport.

The call was made by director of football Craig Gardner as he looks to steal a march on his transfer rivals.

Rangers should take Poku gamble

Given that Poku will be available for free, Rangers would be wise to pursue a deal for the Posh man.

Yes, he is a League One player, but he has been outstanding this term, hence the immense interest in him.

At 23, Poku is a player of vast potential, and his stock is only going to rise from this point onwards.

Of course, the Glasgow club will need to do serious business this summer, and the midfielder alone is not the answer.

However, Poku would be the perfect arrival to start the Ibrox revival this summer.
