Jack Butland reacts as Rangers exit message sent

Rangers are slowly but surely shifting some of their deadwood out of the door at Ibrox ahead of the summer transfer window.

After what was a season to forget domestically, Rangers will be fully aware of the ramifications that await them if they fail to make the most of the upcoming summer period.

Recruitment at Ibrox is going to be crucial. The managerial situation at Rangers is going to be crucial, but perhaps most importantly, moving on some of their unwanted players is also going to be imperative in the coming months.

With that in mind, one Light Blue’s star has taken to social media to post a farewell to the Gers, and Jack Butland gave his reaction.

Neraysho Kasanwirjo posts farewell message after Rangers exit

Rangers have a lot of players that they will be looking to move on this summer, and Neraysho Kasanwirjo was certainly one of them.

The 23-year-old barely featured for the Light Blues this season, leaving very few questions as to whether he would remain at Ibrox after his loan spell.

Kasanwirjo made just nine appearances in Glasgow and has since posted a farewell message to supporters to thank them for their support throughout the season.

Via his Instagram, he said: “Wore the shirt with pride, even when injury kept me off the pitch. Thank you for the trust, support and memories, Rangers family.”

Butland was among the players to have liked the post, showcasing that while he may not have had much of an influence on the pitch, the relationship off of it was certainly present.

Rangers have no margin for error this summer

If the Light Blues are to start competing with Celtic again, they need to get the big decisions right this summer across all fronts.

The managerial situation at Ibrox needs addressing, and once that is done, recruitment plans are going to be crucial to their hopes of progressing.

Whoever is in the dugout needs to be backed with players capable of taking this side to the next level, while also having the depth to compete in the different competitions throughout the season.

This summer is going to be huge for the Gers, and they will be afforded no margin for error.
