Rangers and 49ers Enterprises sources share new takeover update
Rangers are set for major changes this summer, but delays to their impending takeover and new manager appointment have fans frustrated.
The Scottish Premiership season ended 10 days ago, but the campaign was over long before that for Rangers, in what has been a miserable year.
There has been nothing to play for since losing to Athletic Bilbao in the Europa League on 17 April, but there has also been very little movement off the pitch.
The 49ers Enterprises and Andrew Cavenagh are expected to complete a takeover of Rangers, but fans will be hoping this goes through sooner rather than later.

Chris Jack shares Rangers takeover update
Rangers are hoping to confirm their new manager by the end of this week, meaning a takeover announcement may not be that much further behind.
However, Chris Jack has now revealed that both parties involved in the takeover have no deadline set when it comes to closing the deal.
Kevin Thelwell has already joined as sporting director, and figures from the 49ers Enterprises are playing a part in the search for a new manager, but a deal is still yet to be finalised.

“Sources on both sides of the deal have downplayed the importance of an ‘end date’ as such. Every agreement that is reached and signed off is a step in the right direction, and there has never been a set day in mind that is being worked to,” Jack wrote in the Rangers Review (27 May).

Rangers need to finalise takeover and manager appointment soon
Rangers will need as much time as possible to rebuild the squad this summer, and work needs to begin immediately to decide which players to keep, recruit and sell.
They cannot do this until they know which manager is in place and until the takeover is completed, which will allow them to spend in the transfer market.
Letting the likes of Ianis Hagi, Leon Balogun, and Tom Lawrence leave is a step in the right direction, with unreliable players being the story of recent seasons at Ibrox.
With pre-season set to begin at the end of June, whoever becomes the new manager will benefit from more time and clarity over the ownership situation, and all sides should be eager to close these deals as soon as possible.
Davide Ancelotti and Steven Gerrard are among the candidates being considered as the next manager, and it is hoped that when the takeover goes through, the 49ers will provide the new head coach with backing in the transfer market.
