Middlesbrough make new Rangers announcement
Rangers have a busy summer period ahead after the latest announcement from Middlesbrough.
After what has been a disappointing season at Ibrox, it is evident that Rangers have a lot of work to do this summer if they are to have any chance of returning to a side capable of competing with Celtic.
Aside from a decent run in the Europa League, those back home in Glasgow have had very little to shout home about.
The hopes will be that it will change next season, and planning is already underway to get the Gers geared up ahead of the summer.

Ibrox to host pre-season friendly
Before any plans are put into place on a recruitment front or even a playing front, for that matter, Rangers simply need to find a resolution to the current managerial situation.
Davide Ancelotti and Russell Martin will enter discussions with Andrew Cavenagh in the coming week, and once that situation is resolved, there is a lot of work to do.
Scottish Premiership | W | D | L | P |
Celtic | 29 | 5 | 4 | 92 |
Rangers | 22 | 9 | 7 | 75 |
It will be crucial that a manager is in place for pre-season, to ensure that the Gers have as much time to prepare for the new season as possible, with Middlesbrough set to be one of the sides Rangers face.
The Championship outfit announced via their official X account that they would be making the trip to Ibrox on 26 July, as they gear up for what they hope is going to be a promotion campaign.
Rangers can’t afford to get things wrong this summer
Recruitment, managerial appointments, and on-pitch decisions. You name it, and Rangers have probably struggled to succeed at it over the last few years.
However, after another season without a trophy, the Light Blues will be afforded no margin for error, with fans growing in frustration at the gap that is growing between the Gers and Celtic domestically, and rightfully so.
That needs to change next season, and whoever comes through the door as manager will have a huge task at hand to be the one to achieve that.
