Marathe and Cavenagh frustrations emerge at Rangers in Ibrox takeover latest
Paraag Marathe and Andrew Cavenagh are growing increasingly impatient as the Rangers takeover continues to drag on.
The 49ers consortium have been in talks over a potential takeover at Ibrox for many months without any deal going through at this stage.
This has coincided with managerial talks after Barry Ferguson confirmed his exit from the Gers at the end of the Scottish Premiership campaign.
With both processes taking a lengthy period to this point, fans as well as Marathe and Cavenagh have began to grow frustrated in Govan.

Rangers takeover frustrations build at Ibrox
It has been months since Marathe and the 49ers were linked with a potential takeover in G51 ahead of the upcoming season.
Now, with the campaign coming to an end after a draw against Hibernian, hopes of a deal being done have continued to grow.
With that being said, there’s been no news that has been too positive for the Light Blues as the takeover continues to rumble on with no end in sight.
This has seen Keith Jackson report to the Daily Record (26 May) that Cavenagh is conservative and is unlikely to take any shortcuts or be rushed into big decisions.
Even with that being the case, this deal for the Light Blues is “taking forever to complete” and has been far from a straightforward enterprise.
Complexities in discussions across eight time zones has not helped and has contributed to an increasingly lengthy process in Govan.
As a result, the main men on the inside of the deal like Marathe and Cavenagh are “becoming frustrated to the point of exasperation by one delay after the next”.

Marathe has work still to do at Rangers
There is a large number of decisions that still have to be made in G51 with the summer window and new season on the horizon.
This still means a new manager is needed, with Davide Ancelotti emerging as one of the main candidates in recent weeks.
If the Italian is to come in, it will be interesting to know who he is reporting to, as Marathe and Cavenagh continue to pursue a takeover with no luck to this point.
