Warnock slams ‘arrogant’ Clement as he shares thoughts on next Rangers manager
Neil Warnock has provided insight on the vacant manager job at Rangers, while giving a brutally honest assessment of Philippe Clement.
The Glasgow club are currently without a manager, having sacked Clement in late February after a string of bad results.
Barry Ferguson had been in temporary charge, but the Gers are set to appoint externally, with Steven Gerrard in the frame for a return.
With that in mind, former Aberdeen manager Warnock has weighed in with his thoughts on the Ibrox hotseat.

Warnock chimes in on Rangers manager debate
Warnock has never been one to shy away from making controversial comments in his career, indeed, they have defined him.
The former Leeds United manager is always brutally honest in sharing his opinions and has some words for Clement.
Clement spent a year-and-a-half at Ibrox, managing 86 games with a points-per-match average of 2.09
Matches | Won | Drew | Lost | Points-per-match |
86 | 55 | 15 | 16 | 2.09 |
When speaking to The Herald (24 May), Warnock addressed who should be given the Ibrox job and his thoughts on the Belgian.
He said: “I don’t really know who they should be going for, but I wasn’t a fan of Clement at all, me.
“When I came across him I thought he was arrogant, if I’m honest. I didn’t have a great deal of time for him.”

Gerrard has unfinished business at Ibrox
Rangers have understandably been taking their time to appoint a new manager as the Glasgow club enter a new era.
Davide Ancelotti had been the frontrunner for some time, but several twists and turns suggest he will not take the job.
That has left Gerrard as the prime candidate, and talks have taken place for a sensational return to Ibrox.
The former Aston Villa manager enjoyed a fruitful stint with the Scottish side and led them to their first Scottish Premiership title in 10 years.
He ultimately departed for Villa Park, but it felt like his move to the Premier League came prematurely.
Sure enough, the move was not a success, and the 44-year-old was given his marching orders after just under a year with the West Midlands club.
His return to Ibrox would be a contentious one, but if he can deliver another trophy, then he will go down as a Rangers legend.
