Ianis Hagi is ‘very happy’ after Rangers exit confirmed at Ibrox
Rangers have confirmed the exit of several first-team players already upon the expiry of their contracts, including Ianis Hagi.
Hagi joined Rangers in 2020, and quickly became popular among fans but struggled with injury for most of his time in Scotland.
The 26-year-old enjoyed a strong comeback this season after being left in the cold by Philippe Clement, but Rangers fell short in all competitions.
Hagi will now leave with his contract coming to an end, and he has now spoken out about his future and his time at Ibrox.

Hagi speaks out over future after Rangers exit
Hagi has now admitted that he is unsure what his next steps will be after leaving Ibrox, but claimed that he was happy with his progress this season after a few difficult years.
“I don’t know where I will go yet. It’s the first time in my career that I’m free from contract,” he said via Herald Scotland (25 May).
“I’m very happy with the season I had at Rangers. I managed to turn my career around at Rangers. I’m happy with the season, individually and collectively.
“Now I’m focusing on making the best decision for myself because it’s very important. I’m trying to balance everything, including the national team.

“I want to put myself in a favourable position to continue progressing.
“I’m free from a contract, I’ve received phone calls. It’s hard to say where I see myself. I’ll weigh everything that’s offered to me.”

Rangers will need to replace Hagi
Hagi proved to be a useful player this season despite Rangers’ struggles, making 32 appearances across all competitions after breaking back into the fold.
The Romanian mostly played on the left wing or in midfield, and scored five times while also providing seven assists, including that memorable strike against Celtic at Ibrox.
Hagi was absent from the squad for the final three games of the Scottish Premiership season, but otherwise featured regularly through the middle of the campaign, and his final goal was an injury-time equaliser away at Aberdeen.
Rangers are set for big changes this summer with a new manager and ownership expected to come in, and replacing Hagi will be one of their biggest priorities in the summer transfer window.
It is time to move on from these household names that have never delivered consistently enough, and the 49ers Enterprises are showing ruthless signs ahead of the takeover being completed.
The Americans could be officially through the door within weeks in Govan, and they will need to get some signings sorted quickly for their new manager, whoever that may be.
