Rangers fans will laugh as Celtic embarrass themselves at Parkhead before final loss
Rangers fans can poke fun at Celtic after their Scottish Cup defeat against Aberdeen on Saturday.
Brendan Rodgers and Jimmy Thelin went head to head at Hampden Park on 24 May, with the Dons lifting the trophy after a penalty shootout win.
An Alistair Johnston penalty was saved by Dimitar Mitov, ending hopes of a treble for the Hoops in a moment that sparked wild celebrations for the Pittodrie club.
It is fair to say that this has gone down well with the Gers, despite a dull end to the season under Barry Ferguson, with antics at Parkhead being picked on in particular.

Rangers fans to poke fun at Parkhead scenes
There have been few reasons for the Light Blues to enjoy what they see when Celtic play after their domestic dominance in recent years.
As a result, seeing them miss out on another treble at the hands of Mitov was certainly an excellent watch for supporters in Govan.
Celtic penalties | Aberdeen penalties |
Callum McGregor (0-0) | Graeme Shinnie (0-1) |
Johnny Kenny (1-1) | Dante Polvara (1-2) |
Luke McCowan (2-2) | Oday Dabbagh (2-3) |
Daizen Maeda (3-3) | Ante Palaversa (3-4) |
Alistair Johnston (3-4) |
That has only been helped by after images that emerged of the Hoops dismantling a stage at Celtic Park ahead of a treble-winning party in G40.
It appears that any celebrations have been put on ice, with it being particularly embarrassing to take apart an entire set-up after the penalty defeat.
This has been laughed at on its own by Gers fans, with Chris Sutton not helping matters with a statement which seems quite strange.
The ex-Parkhead striker has been positive in defeat, although his message on X (24 May), comes across very condescending to the side that just beat them.
He said: “Well played, Aberdeen and Jimmy Thelin. Mitov was outstanding in the shootout.
“Not easy winning trebles and in recent times Celtic have made it look easy, but as shown today, it is anything but. Still an outstanding season for Celtic, but Aberdeen deserve their day.”

It can be argued that the G51 club have no foot to stand on when it comes to laughing at Celtic, given how much success they’ve had.
With that being said, the Ibrox faithful have to make the most of any opportunity to poke fun at their most bitter rivals.
This was certainly done when Hamza Igamane smashed home a winner at Parkhead, and has been done again after their final defeat.
Now Rangers fans can look ahead to the new season, potentially under Davide Ancelotti, and can hope for more reasons to laugh at their Old Firm rivals in the future.
