Champions League winners mooted to reignite pursuite of Rangers ace Nico Raskin
Rangers midfielder Nico Raskin is being linked with an exit away from Ibrox in the upcoming transfer window.
The 24-year-old has taken his game to the next level this season, earning himself his senior cap for Belgium.
He has also been one of the best players in the SPFL and there are Premier League clubs keeping tabs on him.

FC Porto may reignite interest in Raskin
According to Rangers Review journalist Joshua Barrie, it is likely that Raskin leaves the Glasgow outfit this summer.
He believes that clubs do not like buying players when they’re past their mid-20s, so he’s at the perfect age for Gers to cash in.
The Ibrox outfit did the same thing with Calvin Bassey and he expects an exit this summer despite his importance to the team.
FC Porto, the two-time Champions League winners, showed strong interest in January and they could reignite their interest this summer.
Barrie said: “I would expect [Raskin] to go this summer. Strong interest from Porto in January and I wouldn’t be surprised if that’s reignited. He’s back in the Belgium squad.
“Clubs don’t really want to buy players older than 24 or 25, and I think what you see with Raskin is what we saw with Bassey, sell when the time is right and try and cash-in on it.
“And don’t hold onto him until he’s 26 and out of contract because that makes no sense from the squad-building perspective.”
Rangers must keep Raskin on for at least another season
Gers must retain Raskin for at least another season due to his pivotal role as their standout midfielder, earning him the Player of the Year award.
His combative style, press resistance and captaincy in some games highlight his growing leadership and value, making him essential for challenging Celtic’s dominance.

With two years left on his contract until 2027, his rising stock attracts interest from clubs like Leeds and Aston Villa, risking a free exit if not secured.
To convince the Belgium international to stay, Rangers should offer a significant contract extension with a competitive wage to counter Premier League offers, emphasise his central role under new American owners and assure regular playing time to support his 2026 World Cup ambitions with Belgium.
Highlighting the club’s European aspirations and incoming dynamic manager could further persuade him to remain at Ibrox, ensuring stability during the ownership transition.
