Rangers wait on giant announcement to ‘wash away certain Celtic news’
Rangers fans are eagerly awaiting the announcement of the 49ers’ takeover at Ibrox.
The Scottish Premiership is now over after a poor and uninspiring campaign from the Gers.
However, supporters will care little, as there is a real belief that the Glaswegians can challenge Celtic next season, given the impending takeover.
Now, Rangers fans have learnt exactly when the announcement might take place, with pundit Craig Moore theorising that the wait could be to do with Celtic’s potential treble.

Craig Moore believes 49ers takeover will be announced after Celtic’s Scottish Cup final
The 49ers have been in talks to take over Rangers for months.
The deal is seemingly on the verge of completion, with the 49ers spotted at Ibrox multiple times throughout the negotiations.
As a result, the US company have been heavily involved in finding Rangers a new manager after it was announced that Barry Ferguson would leave Ibrox.
It was reported back in April that the 49ers’ takeover of Rangers could happen “any day now”.
Yet, despite all of this, there hasn’t been an official announcement from the Glaswegians.
Now, pundit Moore has a theory that Rangers are delaying the announcement to dilute Celtic’s potential treble victory.
He told Go Radio (22 May): “Rangers might be sitting on executing, for example, but maybe they want to wait and try to wash away certain Celtic news, for example, with the Cup final, potential treble, these kinds of things. Whereas for me personally, I just want accountability now.
“I don’t want those, the smokes and mirrors and the games and all that sort of stuff. Just go and get things in order, get things done, get it announced and get to work. Not worrying about trying to wash over press. You know what I mean? But again, I don’t know how they’re thinking, but that’s why I think that there’s been nothing, certainly in the media, it’s been very, very quiet.”

Rangers need to announce 49ers takeover soon
Despite Moore’s theory, it is currently unknown when Rangers will be announcing the takeover.
However, this wait cannot go on forever, and the 49ers need to speed up the process.
Every day it is not announced is a day of preparation for the new season lost for the players and the incoming manager.
Players, staff and supporters are currently in limbo until it is complete, but now that the season has ended, the pressure is on to get it over the line.
Hopefully, Moore is right, and there will be an announcement next week.
If not, the 49ers risk Celtic gaining an even bigger advantage going into the 2025/26 season.
