Steven Gerrard’s whereabouts confirmed amid Rangers manager news
Rangers’ hunt for a new manager has stepped up this week, with Steven Gerrard linked to the post.
Now that the Scottish Premiership campaign is over, the Gers have begun to make moves regarding the manager position.
Barry Ferguson will no longer be the Rangers manager next season after his spell in charge as interim.
Multiple names have been linked to the post, including former manager Gerrard. However, it does not seem like Rangers will be appointing the Englishman anytime soon.

Steven Gerrard in Bahrain amid Rangers’ manager hunt
Gerrard has been linked with a sensational return to Rangers in recent weeks.
The Liverpool legend oversaw the Gers’ Scottish Premiership title triumph in the 2020/21 campaign before he left for Aston Villa.
His last job was in Saudi Arabia, where he was in charge of Al-Ettifaq before he left via mutual consent in January.

It has recently been confirmed that Gerrard is on the final two-man shortlist for the Rangers job alongside Davide Ancelotti.
Yet, despite these rumours, the former England international is not even in Europe at the moment.
Gerrard posted on his Instagram (22 May) story a video of Bahrain, with the manager likely to be on holiday in the Middle Eastern country.

Rangers fans should not read into Gerrard’s post
Gerrard’s post is likely to get a few of Rangers’ fans nervous who want to see the Englishman return to Ibrox.
However, supporters should not look into the story as it doesn’t tell anyone anything.
The manager could simply be enjoying his last holiday before he takes over at Rangers, or he could be blissfully unaware of any of the speculation linking him to the Gers.
Only time will tell if Gerrard does make a return to Ibrox. However, the one thing that is certain is that the appointment of the Liverpool legend isn’t happening anytime soon.
