Connor Goldson sends message as new Rangers exit announced
Connor Goldson has reacted as the huge summer overhaul begins at Rangers.
The defender made 309 appearances for the Gers, helping them to the Scottish Premiership title in the 2020-21 season, before moving on.
Perhaps his best season was the 2021-22 campaign, in which he featured in every match that the Light Blues played, securing the Scottish Cup and reaching the Europa League final, ultimately losing to Eintracht Frankfurt.

Goldson sends Balogun message after Rangers exit confirmed
Leon Balogun has become the first player to announce his exit, despite his intention to remain with the Bears beyond the expiry of his current deal.
The Nigerian international shared his frustration with the way that his departure played out and the fact that he never got the chance to say a proper goodbye to the Ibrox faithful.
Taking to Instagram (20 May), the 36-year-old said: “If I would have known that the last two games of the season were my last for the club, I would have made sure to say goodbye to all of you accordingly.
“Unfortunately, I wasn’t afforded that opportunity, which saddens me as I would have liked to have walked round Ibrox one last time and returned all the love and support you’ve given me during my two stints.”
Goldson commented, saying: “Deserve all the praise you receive, brother” with a heart emoji.
Rangers make the right decision on Balogun future
The way they went about it may be harsh but it was absolutely the right decision to show Balogun the door, given his age and performances.
He is a popular and experienced figure in the dressing room, but his influence on the pitch has been lacking this season, with injuries taking over.

The 36-cap international has featured just 20 times in the league, and given his advancing age, his fitness was always likely to come into question again.
It was the right time to let him move on but he should have been handed the chance to say a proper farewell to the fans, rather than finding out when it was too late to do so, it is a shabby move.
The 49ers need to ensure that the new manager is given the funds to add new blood to the defensive line after allowing the veteran to depart.
The Americans are set to make huge changes in Govan when they complete their takeover but they need to make sure that the playing squad is given proper attention, otherwise they will be doomed to fail and lag even further behind Celtic.
