Rangers next manager appointment days away as two names remain
Rangers are moving ever closer to naming their new head coach.
The Light Blues have been in desperate need of a permanent manager since the much-needed sacking of Philippe Clement earlier in the year.
It is fair to say that Barry Ferguson was able to successfully steady the ship, but a new figurehead looks destined to take charge in the coming weeks.
It now appears that the hierarchy in Govan are edging closer to picking the coach they want to lead the charge for the Gers next season.

Rangers shortlist two managers for vacant role
There has been a varied number of bosses who have been linked with a switch to Ibrox as the summer window nears.
The strongest links have come to Davide Ancelotti as he looks destined to leave Real Madrid when his father, Carlo, departs to manage Brazil.
Steven Gerrard has also been strongly linked with a return after guiding the G51 club to a Scottish Premiership title in his last stint.
It does appear that Ferguson isn’t in the running for the role after confirming his departure after the draw against Hibernian on 17 May.

The Daily Record reported on 18 May that Kevin Thelwell and Gretar Steinsson have told the Scot that he won’t be taking charge on a permanent basis.
This comes as a newly whittled-down shortlist is said to have just two names remaining as the Gers hope to have a new head coach in charge before the end of next week.

Rangers set to name new head coach
The earlier that a new boss comes in at Ibrox, the better it will prove to be for the Govan club and their progress as a whole.
This will allow whoever the new head coach is to get a good look at his players and visualise how their side could tactically set up moving forward.
It is fair to say that Ancelotti will be an interesting option, while the introduction of someone like Danny Rohl would certainly represent a coup.
