Raskin excellent, 2/10 star woeful: Rangers player ratings v Hibernian
Rangers could not escape the drama against Hibernian at Easter Road, despite having nothing to play for on the final day.
Barry Ferguson took charge of what could be his final game as manager, while several players appeared for what is likely to be their farewells in the 2-2 draw.
Cyriel Dessers put his side ahead within minutes, and Nicolas Raskin thought he put Rangers 2-0 up, only for Kieron Dowie to equalise seconds later as the Belgian was denied.
The Scottish FA said there was no clear evidence to prove the ball had crossed the line, despite images online looking to prove it convincingly.
Raskin did eventually get his goal, heading home at the start of the second half, only for Martin Boyle to finish the scoring as it ended 2-2 in Edinburgh.

Ibrox News have rated the players out of 10 from Easter Road;
Jack Butland: 6
James Tavernier: 7
Leon Balogun: 4
John Souttar: 6

Mohamed Diomande: 7
Vaclav Cerny: 5
Danilo: 6
Cyriel Dessers: 7

Rangers’ defensive frailties exposed v Hibernian
Rangers were dominant at times against Hibernian, but could not make their chances count as they were ineffective in both boxes.
Leon Balogun was withdrawn with an injury early on, in what could have been his final Rangers appearance, but Robin Propper was introduced instead of Clinton Nsiala.
Rangers were caught napping at the back as Dowie equalised in the first half, and Boyle was free to head in his cross unchallenged in the air, as Propper was caught out yet again in a dismal performance.
Stat | Propper |
Minutes | 80 |
Goals conceded | 2 |
Tackles | 0 |
Long passes | 1/3 |
Ground duels | 1/1 |
Hibs grew in confidence throughout the game and pushed up towards the end, and Rangers did little to keep them at bay.
It is a clear sign for next season that strengthening the defence should be a priority, with no one covering themselves in glory on the final day.
