Rangers agree Camara transfer with long-term contract ready after PSG developments

Rangers have just ended a miserable season, with significant changes already underway at Ibrox.

The Gers drew 2-2 with Hibernian at Easter Road in their final game of the season on Saturday, which saw them yet again underwhelm in both boxes as they missed several chances.

However, in the moments following their draw in Edinburgh, Rangers have already secured what looks to be their first signing of the summer at Ibrox.

Paris Saint-Germain youth star Oumar Camara could be the first face through the door once the new era begins under American ownership.

Camara’s record for PSG under-19s

Camara is the captain of the Parisians’ under-19 side and is rated highly at the Champions League finalists, but he is set to head to Ibrox in the summer.

Fabrice Hawkins has reported that the young attacking wonder will sign professional terms with the Bears, with a long-term contract ready in Govan.

PSG did offer terms themselves, but Camara is said to have been won over by the project on offer at Rangers and Ibrox.

Rangers convinced Camara to snub PSG offer

The upcoming takeover and changes at Rangers are clearly being noticed across the footballing world, and young players are ready to buy into this long-term project led by Paraag Marathe.

Camara has turned down a contract offer to stay at PSG in favour of moving to Rangers, and this may mean that the 18-year-old has been promised gametime at Ibrox.

With several attacking players possibly set to leave, such as Oscar Cortes and Vaclav Cerny, several additions are necessary, and Camara could prove to be a brilliant find on a free transfer.

The attacker has scored nine goals in all competitions for the PSG under-19s this season, and his ability to play out wide or as a centre-forward could make him very useful for the next manager at Rangers.

An announcement could be on the way soon.
