Michael Stewart shares ‘Horrific’ moment he saw in Hibernian v Rangers on BBC
Rangers battled to a 2-2 draw against Hibernian in their final game of the season, as they failed to end a dismal campaign with a win.
Barry Ferguson took charge of what could be his final game, and several Rangers players were fighting for their futures at Easter Road.
Rangers got off to the perfect start as Cyriel Dessers opened the scoring within two minutes, but while the Nigerian’s turn and finish was outstanding, it stemmed from a defensive error.
Hibs made a sensational turnaround mid-season to finish third in the Scottish Premiership, but they were all at sea as Dessers took advantage.

Hibernian horror show called out on BBC
Michael Stewart is never afraid to speak his mind, even on his former clubs, and he could not believe what he was watching as Rangers opening the scoring immediately.
Speaking live on BBC Scotland (17 May, 12:53), Stewart slammed the defending which led to Dessers sealing his Golden Boot in the Scottish Premiership.
“For Hibs, every time I’m looking at the game at Easter Road, they look good, they look really at it,” he stated.

“It’s just a horrific goal, a horrific goal to put them 1-0 down to begin with.”
Goalkeeper Jordan Smith played a disastrous pass which was intercepted, and eventually led to the goal as Nicolas Raskin played the ball to Dessers, who turned superbly and fired into the bottom corner.

Rangers should have had more at Hibernian
There was huge controversy at Easter Road, as Rangers thought they had taken a 2-0 lead after Raskin appeared to put the ball over the line, but it wasn’t given by VAR.
In the very next phase of play, Kieran Bowie netted an equaliser for Hibernian, leaving Rangers fuming.
This set of events was the difference between a 2-0 lead and drawing 1-1 at half time, but it was a familiar story beyond this controversy, as Rangers missed several chances to extend their lead.
Hibernian grew into the game after their horrific start, but Rangers’ inability to make their dominance count summed up how they were way off the pace all season.
This has to be the catalyst for major changes at Ibrox, again.
