Hamza Igamane nowhere to be seen – Rangers confirmed XI v Hibernian

Hamza Igamane is absent from the Rangers squad to take on Hibernian on Saturday.

The Gers will play their final match of the Scottish Premiership season at Easter Road on 17 May.

While there is nothing left to play for, supporters of the Ibrox club will still be keen to end what has been an incredibly disappointing season on a high.

As Rangers search for a new manager, this is expected to be Ferguson’s final game in charge of the Gers, and he too will be keen to end his temporary stay with three points. However, that has been made all the more difficult by the absence of Igamane.

Ferguson makes two changes to the Rangers team v Hibernian

Rangers secured a 3-1 win against Dundee United in their final Scottish Premiership match of the season at Ibrox on Wednesday (14 May).

Igamane started that night, and while he didn’t make the impact he would have liked, his omission from the squad together against Hibernian is bound to raise questions.

Danilo comes in for the Moroccan, while Neraysho Kasanwirjo makes a rare appearance, replacing Jefté in the backline.

Igamane exit could be on the cards at Rangers

Plenty of supporters will no doubt be fearful that Igamane’s omission from the squad against Hibernian means the 22-year-old might have already played his final game for Rangers.

If that is the case, fans are bound to be frustrated this summer. The forward has been a rare positive in an otherwise underwhelming campaign at Ibrox.

However, Igamane has been linked with a Rangers exit, and this could be a sign that he is on his way out.

There isn’t much for Rangers to play for against Hibs. However, Ferguson will still be keen for his players to repay the fans with a performance on Saturday, while Cyriel Dessers will have personal ambitions of his own as he chases the golden boot in the Scottish Premiership.
