Exclusive: Scottish FA to ‘take action against Rangers employee’ as footage emerges

Rangers were yet again let down by the officials as they limped to a 2-2 draw against Hibernian to finish their Scottish Premiership season.

Cyriel Dessers and Nicolas Raskin got the goals, with Kieran Bowie and Martin Boyle scoring at the other end to end a frantic season at Easter Road.

The biggest talking point came in the first half, as Raskin appeared to knock the ball over the line, with images proving that, but VAR found no evidence to allow the goal, with Hibs immediately scoring at the other end.

John Brown pulled no punches in accusing corruption after the decision on Rangers TV, and despite Tom Miller’s best efforts to backtrack, trouble could now follow.

Scottish FA to take action against Rangers

Keith Hackett insists that the Scottish FA will be expected to take action, with human error unfortunately part of the game, with no need for the comments.

Speaking exclusively to Ibrox News, the ex-FIFA referee admitted that it was unwise to make those comments, and punishment should follow.

“That is a very poor comment,” Hackett said.

All stakeholders in the game can make mistakes. The manager selects the wrong team. The club selects the wrong manager. A player misses an open goal. The referee makes an error.

Human beings do make errors.

“Using the word ‘Corrupt’ is frankly very unwise, and I do expect the Scottish FA to take action.”

Willie Collum set for busy week

As much as Collum was also called out by fans every week in Scotland, even he must be shaking his head at what his referees are producing consistently.

Hackett has called on Collum to put the case forward for goal line technology in the Scottish Premiership, with errors such as that expected to keep happening without it.

With terrible angles and referees that aren’t good enough, something is desperately wrong.

Raskin has let his football do the talking in a sensational season, but he was far from happy with what looked like another clear goal being taken away from him.

Patrick Stewart will be far from happy with the pile of paperwork on his desk from UEFA punishments to expected action from the Scottish FA since his arrival.

It isn’t good enough, and while you have every right to call out these decisions, there is a way to do it, such as the statement that Rangers released.
