Ferguson annoyed as Newcastle United to pounce for Rangers gem – Exclusive
Rangers are no strangers to losing exciting talents to clubs south of the border, the biggest case in point being Billy Gilmour’s move to Chelsea.
The Gers have struggled to integrate youngsters into their first-team squad and that has a damaging effect in the long-term.
And for all the talk of incoming signings at Ibrox once the takeover is finalised, players will also inevitably be heading for the exit in the coming months.

Oliver Goodbrand wanted by Newcastle
Oliver Goodbrand is not exactly a familiar name among the Rangers faithful, but he is considered a possible star of the future.
However, Record recently reported that Goodbrand looks set to turn down a new contract at Ibrox.
It was subsequently reported that he may instead join English Premier League heavyweights Newcastle United.
While Derek Ferguson is disappointed by that news, it is something he and other Rangers fans are accustomed to – and something the Gers have been guilty of doing themselves.
“We’ve seen this plenty of times with Rangers and Celtic plucking better players from Hearts, Hibs, etc. It’s the way of the world,” he exclusively told Ibrox News.

Dundee United | 14 May | Ibrox |
Hibernian | 17 May | Easter Road |
“It’s disappointing and is very similar to Billy Gilmour a few years back. He was the next big thing but the next thing you know, Chelsea offer the big bucks and off he goes.
“It’s the way football works. It’s about more than just finance and what you can offer a player, and that’s why Rangers need to get these players into the first team as early as possible.
“They need to have a taste of senior football and to be told they’ll be playing regularly if they stay at Ibrox.”

Rangers need to get youngsters into starting line-up
The one benefit of Rangers’ season being over with a number of games to play is that the coaching staff have a chance to get youngsters into the side.
There are many that Gers fans would like to see playing more regularly, but the truth is they have simply not been given enough of a chance.
If Goodbrand does depart, it is another warning to Rangers that they cannot simply sit on these youngsters in the hope of them staying.
