Rangers to start new manager interviews at Ibrox as names emerge already

Rangers could potentially conduct interviews with several candidates amid links with Real Madrid coach Davide Ancelotti.

Barry Ferguson is expected to leave Ibrox at the end of the season, and plans have been put in place to appoint a new permanent manager.

Ancelotti has emerged as a candidate for 49ers Enterprises and Andrew Cavenagh, with the US consortium closing in on their takeover of the Gers.

With time ticking before the start of next season, the Light Blues have put a plan in place to hire a new head coach soon.

Cavenagh and 49ers must appoint new manager at Ibrox soon

Dave King revealed recently that it’s 90 per cent certain that Cavenagh and the 49ers will buy controlling shares at the Glaswegian outfit.

The talks of a takeover have been ongoing for some time now, and supporters are eagerly waiting for a change in the Gers’ boardroom.

With the season coming to an end soon, the US consortium must expedite their arrival at the Light Blues to plan for the upcoming campaign.

Rangers should prioritise a new manager at Ibrox as the appointment will arguably be key in determining their recruitment strategy.

The Gers have significant decisions to make regarding the likes of Vaclav Cerny and Ianis Hagi, who are set to leave next summer unless things change.

It wouldn’t be surprising if a new manager is officially confirmed soon, and fans will want it to be someone capable of knocking Celtic off their perch.

With no clarity on the final list of managers the Light Blues are looking at, fans are right to be frustrated, but the interviews should mean a new appointment is near at Ibrox.
