Davide Ancelotti entourage react to Rangers manager appointment news
Davide Ancelotti has emerged as a candidate for the managerial vacancy at Rangers.
As the 49ers Enterprises look to complete a takeover in Glasgow, decisions need to be made over the future of the Gers.
It has been reported that an offer has already been made for the Italian to join Rangers, but that may have been jumping the gun, with other reports suggesting that other names are still on the radar.
With Barry Ferguson in position as interim boss until the end of the campaign, it looks increasingly unlikely that the former Light Blues player will extend his stay past the end of the season.

Rangers a good fit for Ancelotti
The incoming American investors at Ibrox are seemingly taking their time when it comes to making a permanent appointment.
However, Ancelotti may well be leading the race as it stands, ahead of the takeover that is likely to go through in mid-June.
With Carlo Ancelotti leaving Real Madrid at the end of the campaign, it is seemingly the right time for his son to take his own role as his dad prepares to become the Brazil national team manager.
However, coming into his own, the 35-year-old has to make sure that he makes the right move, which allows him to kick off his managerial career on a strong foot.
It is good news for Rangers fans, though, as it has been reported by Spanish news outlet Marca (13 May, page 3) that the job at Ibrox is what fits most into what Ancelotti and his entourage want from a new role.
Therefore, this could boost negotiations between the two sides.

Ancelotti and Rangers a match
The 49ers will be eager to get their first Rangers appointment right, so there will be plenty of due diligence undertaken before a hire is made you would assume.
However, as it stands, this looks as though a pairing that could be a great match based on the needs of both parties.

2021-25 | Real Madrid |
For the owners, Ancelotti has high-level experience, but is a young, hungry coach too, something the new owners seem keen on.
Therefore, if the Italian and his entourage see Ibrox as the right place for their needs too, then the owners need to jump on this and secure the managerial appointment they are after.
With the season coming to an end in the Scottish Premiership, some direction during the early stages of the summer transfer window could be beneficial.
