Rangers news round-up: Ferguson raging, points deduction not ruled out
Rangers are preparing for Wednesday’s Scottish Premiership clash with Dundee United after beating Aberdeen 4-0 at Ibrox on Sunday.
Barry Ferguson will be eager to earn a second consecutive home win in his final match in the Ibrox dugout on 14 May.
Meanwhile, the Light Blues are continuing the search for their next permanent manager ahead of next season.
Ibrox News provides a round-up of all the latest Rangers happenings on Monday (12 May).

Rangers ready Kevin Boma transfer
After failing to clinch silverware this term, it is vital that the Bears recruit successfully in the summer transfer window ahead of next season.
With that in mind, the Glaswegian outfit have set their sights on a move for Estoril defender Kevin Boma, who has made 28 appearances in the Portuguese top-flight this season.
The 22-year-old previously played in France for the likes of Angers and Rodez before moving to Portugal last summer.
Rob Edwards enters the frame in Rangers managerial hunt
The Gers have been credited with an interest in appointing the likes of Davide Ancelotti and Russell Martin as their new manager.
Opponent | Result |
St Mirren (A) | 2-2 D |
Celtic (H) | 1-1 D |
Aberdeen (H) | 4-0 W |
Meanwhile, former Luton Town boss Edwards is now in the picture despite struggling in the second tier of English football this term.
Edwards previously guided the Hatters to the Premier League in 2023, but parted company with the Bedfordshire club last January amid a Championship relegation battle.

Ferguson rages at Nedim Bajrami developments
While the Light Blues hammered Aberdeen last time out, Ferguson was left unimpressed by the efforts of Nedim Bajrami.
The 47-year-old reportedly looked away in disgust as the Albania international was reluctant to take on Aberdeen’s backline before being hooked at half-time.
Bajrami has scored just two goals in 28 Scottish Premiership appearances, epitomising his struggles since moving to Ibrox from Serie A side Sassuolo last summer.
Rangers could face points deduction
The behaviour of Rangers supporters has come under scrutiny in recent weeks, as missiles were thrown at Celtic goalkeeper Viljami Sinisalo as the Old Firm rivals played out a 1-1 draw at Ibrox on 4 May.
Light Blues supporters also unfurled a tifo displaying Graeme Souness holding a shotgun alongside an offensive message.
Football finance expert Dan Plumley exclusively told Ibrox News that Rangers could face points deductions over those developments.
