Derek McInnes called out after what he did in Rangers coverage at Ibrox
Graham Spiers was less than impressed with Derek McInnes after footage emerged from Ibrox.
There is still plenty of work ongoing at Rangers despite the fact that their season is essentially over, with most of it occurring behind the scenes.
Recruitment plans are being drafted at Ibrox, while talks will undoubtedly be ongoing in their hunt for their next permanent manager.
McInnes has been mooted for the job in the past, with his latest antics at Ibrox certainly not going unnoticed after Rangers’ 4-0 hammering of Aberdeen.

Kris Boyd slammed for McInnes interaction at Ibrox
Rangers impressed in their 4-0 win against Aberdeen, though much of the talk after the game revolved around the future of McInnes, who was in the Sky Sports studio with Kris Boyd.
The pair were discussing McInnes and his future, with Boyd stating that he “deserves another crack at a big club.”
Kilmarnock | Played | Wins | Draws | Losses |
McInnes | 44 | 13 | 11 | 20 |
McInnes seemed to be in no rush to stop Boyd’s rant, which many labelled as disrespectful to his current side, Kilmarnock, with Spiers concerned from the engagement on Sky Sports.
Writing via X, he said: “I get on well with both men in this clip, but this is absolutely not a good look.”
McInnes’ Kilmarnock side currently sit ninth in the Scottish Premiership, and the very fact that he is still their manager has caused plenty of confusion after the footage.

Rangers have a huge summer ahead, they can’t get it wrong
Rangers have looked incapable of challenging Celtic for anything domestically this season, and the same could be said for the past few seasons.
That neds to change this summer, and recruitment is going to play a huge role in that, as will their next managerial appointment.
The Light Blues simply cannot be afforded any margin for error when it comes to decisions made off the pitch at Ibrox, ahead of what promises to be a hectic summer period.
Several players are expected to leave in the next few months, leaving the recruitment team with the task of finding players to replace them, while also improving the level of quality in the squad.
