Rangers now push to hire Davide Ancelotti as new manager in shock move
Rangers are reportedly trying to hire Real Madrid coach Davide Ancelotti as their new manager.
Ancelotti, 35, has served as an assistant manager at top clubs across Europe but is yet to try his hand at first-team management.
The Italian, who is the son of legendary coach Carlo Ancelotti, could now be on his way out of Real Madrid, with news emerging from his homeland.

Rangers want Ancelotti to win back Scottish Premiership title from Celtic
Sky Sports Italy journalist Gianluca Di Marzio reported via his personal website on 11 May that Rangers have their sights set on hiring Davide Ancelotti as their new permanent manager.
Ancelotti has been in the Bernabeu dug-out since 2021 but it seems like a move to a more senior role elsewhere is on the cards for him.
However, it is understood that Serie A side Como are also interested in the former Bayern Munich, Napoli and Everton assistant coach.
Como manager Cesc Fabregas is on Bayer Leverkusen’s radar as they look to replace Xabi Alonso, who’s already announced that he’ll be leaving the German club at the end of the season.
Di Marzio adds, though, that if the Gers manage to hire Ancelotti, it’ll open the door for him to start winning silverware straight away in his first managerial job.

Ancelotti to open door to new era at Rangers
Rangers could start next season with Ancelotti as their manager and billionaire American owners.
Who wouldn’t be thrilled with that?
While it’s not the Ancelotti Senior who’s being linked with Ibrox, Rangers fans will surely see that a move to hire his son, who’s worked alongside him at huge clubs elsewhere in Europe, is a really exciting prospect.
He’ll be a rookie manager, which does create a bit of risk.
However, opening up the door to spend Andrew Cavenagh and 49ers Enterprises’ millions on players managed by Carlo Ancelotti is a huge possibility if Kevin Thelwell and the new owners can get this deal done.
