Rangers sources stress as Steven Gerrard claim made in new manager hunt
Rangers have a huge summer ahead of them if they want to get back to competing domestically.
Rangers find themselves in a rather unfavourable position at this stage of the season, given the fact that they have quite literally nothing left to play for.
Their domestic failings saw them crash out of both Scottish Cups, while the growing gap from Celtic became apparent mid-way through the campaign, even before the appointment of Barry Ferguson.
However, if the Light Blues are to avoid those failings from next season onwards, they need to get the decisions right off the pitch at Ibrox, with a huge summer ahead.

Rangers have lacked a DNA for years at Ibrox
Rangers’ Europa League run left many impressed, but the majority confused, and the latter is the concern that will need to be addressed in the summer.
The Light Blues have lacked any consistency this season, and, especially under Philippe Clement, any real idndeity to their way of playing, with Rangers Review‘s Joshua Barrie outlining the requirements set by the Gers behind the scenes.
He said: “As internal sources have stressed for some time, Rangers have required a club DNA, which is now in the works, to recruit around and build towards at all levels of the club. Linking departments and working towards a common goal.
Competition | Matches | Wins | Draws | Losses |
Scottish Premiership | 107 | 76 | 21 | 10 |
“Not since Gerrard’s time at Rangers has there been a sustained style in the dugout that the recruitment department have been able to target over several windows.”
Recruitment has, of course, been the other major concern at Ibrox, and that will need to be addressed in the coming months if the Gers are to have any chance of building a side capable of competing with Celtic for trophies.

49ers must deliver success to Rangers faithful
Through some of the toughest years in recent Rangers history, the Light Blue faithful have supported their side home and away, despite often having very little to shout home about.
That needs to change after the failure of the current campaign, and the 49ers will have to take whatever measures necessary to ensure that it happens.
Rangers will be afforded no margin for error when it comes to decision-making in the next months, nor should they, given the size of the task at hand.
