Nico Raskin ‘to test 49ers ambition at Rangers’ after huge transfer offer

Nico Raskin has set the Scottish Premiership alight, with 49ers Enterprises potentially receiving transfer offers at Rangers soon.

The midfielder has been one of the best players at the Glaswegian outfit this season, making his debut for Belgium in the Nations League against Ukraine in March.

Raskin has now caught the world’s attention at Ibrox, putting in some solid displays despite the Gers’ struggles in the current campaign.

Aston Villa and Leeds United have shown interest in the 24-year-old, and his sale may indicate the prospective new owners’ ambitions.

Rangers don’t need to sell Raskin next summer

Raskin doesn’t need to be sold at the Glaswegian outfit in the upcoming transfer window, Alan Hutton says.

The ex-Gers ace believes the US consortium’s plans and ambitions may be revealed after potentially receiving an offer for the Belgian midfielder

Hutton feels the Light Blues should keep the 24-year-old next summer as they try to build a competitive squad.

Speaking on the Scottish Football Social Club, the former defender said: “If somebody’s going to test the water [for Raskin], it’ll be interesting to see what they do because you’ll kind of get to know where their minds are at and what they’re planning for the future. Because you need these guys.

“Why would you try and build something and sell them on. I don’t think you have to do that at this moment in time.”

Adnrew Cavenagh and 49ers must invest at Ibrox

Andrew Cavanagh and the 49ers are drawing close to their takeover at the Glaswegian outfit, and fans are hoping for exciting times.

The mismanagement of funds at the Gers in recent years has seen them fall behind Celtic in the Scottish Premiership and left them in financial distress.

Once the takeover is complete, the Americans must invest in the Light Blues’ squad and add more quality to the team.

Rangers must also keep the likes of Raskin in the upcoming transfer window and ward off any offers received for him.

Vaclav Cerny is another player whom the prospective new owners must look to sign permanently at Ibrox after what he’s done this season.

Ianis Hagi’s contract situation is another issue that needs to be resolved at the Glaswegian outfit.

The US consortium will have a lot on their plate once they officially arrive at the Bears, and they arguably need a competitive squad to be successful.

If the prospective new owners have any hopes of competing with Celtic in the Scottish Premiership, then they should keep Raskin and the others who’ve performed well.
