Chris Sutton takes swipe at Rangers on social media ahead of Celtic clash at Ibrox
Chris Sutton is known for his outspoken jibes at Rangers.
Whether it is discussing the future of interim manager Barry Ferguson or the Gers poor form this season, the former Celtic striker loves to take aim at the Govan outfit.
The sides face off at Ibrox on Sunday (4 May) and the 52-year-old could not resist a fresh swipe ahead of the contest.

Sutton aims treble dig at Rangers
While Brendan Rodgers‘ side are on course for a historic treble, the Light Blues have struggled to bridge the gap between the sides.
Ferguson and his charges could secure a third victory over the Hoops this season but Sutton reminded supporters that his former team are set to win three trophies.
In a post on his personal X account (4 May), he said: “Rangers have their eyes on a win treble… Celtic have their eyes on a real treble. Live on Sky Sports from 11am.”
Rangers should take inspiration from Sutton’s latest swipe
It promises to be an exciting summer in Auchenhowie as the 49ers Enterprises group complete their long-awaited takeover after months of negotiations.
The American investment group will be hoping to turn around the Bears’ fortunes immediately but it is a more realistic prospect to expect slow progression given the huge gap in the Scottish Premiership standings.
They can use Sutton’s jibes as motivation to get to where they want to be and leave him crying in the dust when they eventually catch up to their Glasgow rivals, if they get it right.
It would give the Gers’ support huge satisfaction if Aberdeen were to beat the Bhoys in the Scottish Cup final on 24 May and at the very least, end their treble hopes.
However, fixing their own issues is more important and there is many, such as the future of interim boss Ferguson and the impending interest from south of the border in the likes of Nicolas Raskin and Hamza Igamane with Everton, Aston Villa and Tottenham circling.
The squad is in need of a major overhaul but it is still an exciting time for the blue half of Glasgow as the new owners look set to take charge and hopefully wipe the smirk from Sutton’s face in the near future.
