Scott Arfield issues Rangers transfer claim after what he’s heard
Scott Arfield has delivered his verdict on new arrivals at Rangers once the 49ers Enterprises complete their takeover.
The former title winner with Gers compared the current situation at Ibrox to how things were when he first signed for the club.
Things appear to be heading in the right direction with regards to the takeover, and Andrew Cavenagh is expected to be in attendance for the Celtic clash.

Arfield urges 49ers to target right characters
The takeover is set to begin a new era at Rangers and it’s expected to be a busy summer at Ibrox.
Not only will there be turnover in terms of the players, but a new manager is also expected to arrive along with changes inside the boardroom.
Speaking about the incomings, Arfield said: “But all the doom and gloom didn’t put me off returning to Glasgow.
“And as long as the club’s new owners target the right characters, I don’t see why this season’s struggles should put off the new recruits who will be arriving this summer either.
“I can certainly see the parallels connecting the situation I walked into seven years ago and the picture today.”

Rangers certainly need to have a good transfer window
With 49ers Enterprises set to take control, Gers must target players who align with a strategic rebuild to challenge Celtic’s dominance and elevate their European standing.
The focus should be on quality over quantity, addressing recent transfer missteps where high fees yielded inconsistent results.
Rangers need a commanding centre-back to anchor the defence, providing leadership and stability, ideally an experienced player with a proven track record in high-pressure environments.

A dynamic, goal-scoring midfielder, capable of dictating play and contributing 8-10 goals per season, is essential to unlock tight defences in the Scottish Premiership.
Additionally, a versatile winger with pace and flair, similar to Vaclav Cerny, would stretch opposition defences and create space for others.
Young, high-potential talents, like the previously targeted Jesse Derry, should be pursued to fit a player-trading model, ensuring future resale value.
With an estimated £20-25million budget, Kevin Thelwell must prioritise smart, data-driven signings, blending youth with seasoned heads to foster a cohesive squad.
Leveraging the 49ers’ multi-club model, loan deals from Leeds United could also provide cost-effective quality.
