Leeds legend Gray shares what he’s going to do at Elland Road after Rangers takeover
Rangers are nearing a takeover of the club from 49ers Enterprises, which will see them share ownership with Leeds United.
Rangers have endured a dismal season, but they are set for complete change at the very top, with the American-based group closing in on a deal which would see them become majority shareholders.
49ers Enterprises also have stakes in Leeds United, who have just been promoted to the Premier League in England.
Executives from Leeds have been involved in the takeover process at Ibrox, but Leeds legend Eddie Gray has now incurred the wrath of Rangers fans.

Gray makes Celtic jibe ahead of Rangers takeover
Leeds legend Gray saw his great-nephew Harry Gray come on for his professional debut as Leeds secured promotion, but he may have now angered the Ibrox faithful ahead of the takeover.
Speaking in an interview with The Scottish Sun (1 May) at Elland Road, Gray, whose son Stuart played for Celtic, claimed that once the Leeds owners complete their Rangers takeover, his allegiance will still be to their biggest rivals.
Rangers – 2024-25 | Progress |

“When it happens, I’ll probably walk into [Elland Road] with my green and white scarf,” he responded when asked about the potential takeover.
Gray grew up a Celtic fan, having been born in Glasgow, but his nephew and great-nephews all played for Leeds just like he did.
49ers figures to attend Rangers v Celtic
With takeover talks ramped up this week, the 49ers are readying themselves for their involvement with Rangers, and are set to appear at Ibrox in their next game.
Rangers will host Celtic in another Old Firm clash on Sunday (May 4), and several key members from the 49ers will be in attendance for the game at Ibrox.
While there is never any shortage of bad blood between the two sides, this Old Firm will not be as significant as previous editions, with Celtic already confirming their title victory, and Rangers having nothing to play for in the rest of this campaign.
Barry Ferguson will be looking for a win though, as he auditions to keep the Rangers job on a permanent basis following his spell as interim manager.
