Nico Raskin saved from ‘absolutely raging’ after what happened v St Mirren
Rangers had to settle for a point on Saturday as they drew 2-2 with St Mirren.
On the weekend when Celtic lifted the Scottish Premiership trophy, the Gers were reminded of just how far apart the two sides are with another draw.
Nico Raskin gave his side a 2-1 lead in the second half, but it was St Mirren who came back from behind to stop Rangers taking all three points.

Raskin involved in controversial Rangers moment
Raskin put in a good shift against St Mirren and one of the few players who can walk away from the game with his head held high, having put in the effort on the pitch.
Appearances | Goals | Assists |
29 | 2 | 7 |
The 24-year-old got stuck into the game and just three minutes after his goal, he picked up a yellow card.
There were soon calls from the home side that Raskin should have been sent off with a second booking due to a foul as he went to win the ball.
As his opponent was on the floor, St Mirren’s players seemed keen to see some action from the referee.
However, he waved it away and allowed the game to continue.
It was a strong challenge, but speaking live on Sky Sports News (28 April), ex-Premier League referee Dermot Gallagher insisted that there wasn’t enough in it as he said: “If I was a player and I got a second yellow card for this, I’d be absolutely raging.
“A foul, yes, but second yellow card, certainly not. Look, it’s just a foul and not every foul after a yellow card is going to be a red card.”

Rangers waiting for the end of the season
After being knocked out of the Europa League against Athletic Bilbao, Rangers no longer have anything to play for this season and are waiting for the campaign to finish.
It has been a terrible season for the Gers, but as the 49ers Enterprises look to complete a takeover at Ibrox, soon it could be all change.
Supporters will have to be patient if the takeover goes through, with plenty of work to be done in Glasgow, firstly just to restore some pride in the Light Blues’ shirt.
Going forward, however, the hope is to compete with their Old Firm rivals Celtic once more and compete for the top of the table and silverware.
It may seem a long way off after a draw with St Mirren, but Rangers are not too far from better times.
