Nsiala has nightmare, Kelly terrible – Rangers player ratings v St. Mirren

Nicolas Raskin saved Rangers from further embarrassment as Clinton Nsialo and Co. disappointed at the back in their 2-2 draw with St. Mirren on Saturday.

Rangers sought consolation as they faced St. Mirren at Paisley just minutes after Celtic clinched the Premiership title with a 5-0 victory over Dundee United on 26 April.

Despite an underwhelming start to the game, Barry Ferguson’s side took the lead through Cyriel Dessers in the 42nd minute, with Nicolas Raskin providing the assist.

However, the lead lasted only two minutes, as Mark O’Hara equalised for St. Mirren after Clinton Nsiala failed to deal with a long throw.g

Raskin reinstated Rangers‘ lead early on in the second half, only for his team to give it away later.

Ferguson tactics shambles as defenders flop

Raskin was easily Rangers’ standout performer of the afternoon after being involved in both goals they scored, while Dessers was a close second.

However, a lot of the other players left much to be desired with their underwhelming performances.

Kelly and the three centre-backs left the Gers faithful frustrated with their disappointing showing, with Nsiala flopping big time.

The centre-back was a guilty party in the lead-up to St. Mirren’s opener, as he failed to deal with a long throw from the hosts.

Kelly is not devoid of criticism either after passing the ball straight to the opposition at one point.

The Ibrox outfit will be wishing that the season had just ended now.
