Alan Brazil rolls eyes as Ally McCoist makes Rangers new manager claim
Rangers’ search for a new manager continues amid speculation surrounding Barry Ferguson’s Ibrox future.
The Gers legend has tried to stabilise the Govan club since Philippe Clement was sacked but has had limited success.
They have been brought back down to earth after a good run in the Europa League in which they eliminated Fenerbahce and will ultimately end the campaign without silverware.
Ferguson is widely expected to be given his marching orders when the 49ers Enterprises group complete their takeover in the summer.

Ferguson debate sparks tensions live on air
The future of Ferguson at Ibrox is a hot topic of debate, with several managers linked to replace the Scot at the end of the season.
The likes of Sean Dyche and Jose Mourinho have been touted for the Ibrox dugout with Alan Brazil and Ally McCoist debating the potential successors live on air.
McCoist defended the interim manager for his contributions so far, however, Brazil was far less convinced and was visibly frustrated with his co-host.
Speaking on talkSPORT (23 April, 09:41 am), McCoist stuck up for the Light Blues icon, saying: “You’ve got to remember he has got a 40 per cent win rate with Philippe Clement’s team, it’s not Barry’s team.
“So, we are judging him with someone else’s team straight away.”
Brazil reacted by rolling his eyes and saying: “I know but for god’s sake.”
Rangers need to get next appointment spot on
Sorting the managerial situation will be the most important task for the American consortium to deal with once they are in place in Govan.
Whether they choose to stick with the current interim boss or move on could define what the future looks like for the Auchenhowie outfit, in terms of both the Scottish Premiership and in Europe.

Ferguson has shown glimpses of his abilities as a manager but there have also been really poor results, such as the 2-0 loss to Hibernian (5 April) and the 2-1 defeat to Motherwell (1 March), both on home turf.
They are 15 points behind Celtic and if they are to catch up anytime soon, they must make the right choice, failure to do so could leave them lagging behind their arch-rivals for years to come.
That would not be acceptable for the Bears fanbase, the gap must be bridged as quickly as possible and they need to decide whether the 47-year-old is the man to take them forward sooner rather than later.
