Rangers takeover announcement update emerges after huge Ibrox news
Rangers are anticipating the 49ers’ takeover ahead of a critical summer at Ibrox.
The Gers have endured a miserable season, but there is hope that better times are on the horizon with the American investors.
The consortium, led by Paraag Marathe and Andrew Cavenagh, are close to completing a deal to take a 51 per cent stake in the Govan outfit.
However, there had been concerns that delays would ultimately put the group off a potential deal, but that does not seem to be the case.

Rangers takeover announcement update shared amid doubts
Any potential doubts over the deal have been shot down in recent days, with the 49ers Enterprises group seemingly set to take over the Auchenhowie outfit, securing the stakes they need.
Chris Jack gave an update on the timescale for the deal and when an announcement is expected after the new developments from Ibrox.
Speaking on the Rangers Review Monday Morning Briefing (21 April), he said: “There has been a lot of online chitter-chatter over the last couple of weeks, people saying it is going to be announced this day, why don’t they announce it for the first home game after the split, why don’t they mention it the day of the Old Firm game.
“It is not going to be announced over the next coming days so anyone who is frantically refreshing the official website, twitter and our website, right now you are wasting your time.
“We are still several weeks away from this deal being finalised and being announced. We’ve been stuck to round about the end of May throughout the process, and that is the timescale that we are still on.”
49ers have huge task to fix Rangers
Whenever a deal is completed, the American group have a huge job to overhaul the Gers, both on and off the pitch.
The future of Barry Ferguson in the dugout remains under question and the playing squad needs major surgery after a dismal domestic campaign which led to Philippe Clement being sacked in February.

The Govan club could also lose several star players with Nicolas Raskin and Hamza Igamane attracting serious interest ahead of the summer window, which could complicate things.
The fact that the deal will only be completed by late May at the earliest may complicate their task and Keith Jackson believes that Rangers will be behind their Glasgow rivals again next season by a significant margin as a result.
It remains to be seen whether they can bridge the gap quickly, but one thing is for sure, it is an exciting time for the Gers as the deal seems closer than ever and they have a much better chance of catching their arch-rivals.
It seems to be only a matter of time now before the club is in the hands of the new owners.
