Rangers ‘noises’ emerge from Ibrox ahead of huge takeover developments
Rangers are finally in the closing stages of their takeover by the 49ers Enterprises.
Paraag Marathe and Andrew Cavenagh have finally unlocked a route to secure a 51 per cent stake in the Ibrox giants, with American investment on the way.
It comes weeks after apparent frustrations from Ibrox shareholders, although they have now disappeared with a May timeline in play in Govan.

Rangers shareholder puzzle for Ibrox takeover
Dan Plumley has insisted that the 49ers will be facing a differing state of play to the one they had when taking over at Leeds United.
The football finance expert admitted that every football takeover is complicated, but the numerous shareholders at Ibrox make it even more complex this time around.
“It’s very different to the situation when they took over at Leeds United,” he exclusively told Ibrox News.
“The rumours that the takeover was going to be done by April or very soon, and I said if it does do that, then it’s very quick in the context of football takeovers, and it’s very quick in the context of a board that has lots of shareholders and is not easy to separate.
“So, I think it makes sense looking at those noises now from the outside looking in, in terms of it was never going to be an easy deal, even if everybody wanted to come to the club.
“We are seeing there the complications of a football takeover in general, but also one with a shareholding position at Rangers, where there are lots of different people in the mix.”

Marathe and Cavenagh to take charge at Rangers
With Leeds United potentially set for promotion to the Premier League on Easter Monday, the good news keeps coming for Marathe and the 49ers.
After their “blockbuster” takeover bid sealed a breakthrough in Govan, preparations will hopefully be in place after a dreadful domestic season.
Crashing out of the Europa League against Athletic Bilbao effectively ends the season, so there is plenty of time to get the takeover done and plans in place.
Barry Ferguson has five more games left, and his permanent replacement may be top of the agenda.

With an announcement not expected until May, there is still some time to go.
