Rangers ‘fume at Vaclav Cerny development’ after PFA announcement

Vaclav Cerny has been one of the best players in the Scottish Premiership this season, despite Rangers enduring a tough spell.

The Gers signed the 27-year-old on loan from Wolfsburg last summer, and he’s become one of the most prominent figures at Ibrox.

Cerny’s move from the Bundesliga outfit could potentially become permanent in the coming months if the Light Blues trigger the £5.5million buy option in the deal.

While the Czechia international has arguably been the most influential star at the Glaswegian outfit, there are some who don’t believe that.

Cerny should be priority transfer for 49ers Enterprises at Rangers

With Andrew Cavenagh and 49ers Enterprises looking to buy the Bears soon, there’s optimism among the fan base going into next season.

Supporters will want to see a statement of intent from the American investors once they complete their takeover, and Cerny’s continuity at Ibrox for the upcoming campaign could do just that.

The US consortium can arguably showcase their ambition at the Gers by signing the 27-year-old winger from Wolfsburg next summer.

With the Light Blues aiming to compete with Celtic again in the Scottish Premiership, they’ll need to keep hold of their best players.

PFA TOTY snub baffling for Cerny after what he’s done at Ibrox

Barry Ferguson’s continuity may convince Cerny to stay at Ibrox beyond the current campaign, but there are several uncertainties at the moment.

The interim manager’s tenure at the Glaswegian outfit will soon come to an end, and it doesn’t appear that the prospective new owners will want to retain him.

Beating Athletic Club in the Europa League may have provided a reason to prolong Ferguson’s stint at the Bears, but the 2-0 defeat at San Mames could potentially have a big say in the former Scotland international’s future.

Rangers have massive decisions to make before the season ends, and Cerny will undoubtedly be on the agenda.

While the Gers recognise the Czech national’s qualities, it seems that the Professional Footballers’ Association (PFA) in Scotland don’t, excluding him from the Premiership Team of the Year.

PFA Scotland announced the team on X (19 April), with John Souttar and Nico Raskin selected, but the Gers may be fuming at the 27-year-old winger being snubbed.

Celtic’s Nicolas Kunh has made it ahead of Cerny, but the German national hasn’t been anywhere near good enough in recent months.

The Czechia international, on the other hand, has been consistent throughout the season, and it’s a shame to see his efforts not be recognised.

Fans will hope the 27-year-old winger can stay at the Glaswegian outfit next season and continue to shine in the Scottish Premiership.
