Rangers takeover: Tom English shares latest developments live on BBC
Rangers will now look ahead to next season already, after they crashed out of the Europa League against Athletic Bilbao on Thursday evening.
Goals from Oihan Sancet and Nico Williams saw the Bears fall away from Europe with a 2-0 defeat in the Basque Country, with nothing left to play for at Ibrox.
Barry Ferguson will be left questioning his future beyond his interim contract, with the 49ers Enterprises and Andrew Cavenagh pushing ahead with their takeover.

Rangers takeover reveal live on BBC
Tom English, asked for updates ahead of the game in Spain, shared that he was told the takeover will be finished by June, and nothing he has heard suggests otherwise.
The BBC journalist insists that legal developments are ongoing with the necessary lawyers.
Speaking live on BBC Sportsound ahead of kick-off in Spain on Thursday [19:44, 17 April], English was quizzed on the ongoing takeover process.
“Last I checked, it was with the lawyers and it was going through the process,” he said.
“These things, you can imagine, they’re intensely legal, and nothing happens quickly.
“I wasn’t hearing of any hiccups at all, and I think I was told previously that it will be done by June time, and I’ve heard nothing to dissuade me from that.”

Ferguson to leave Rangers
Although he has done himself proud with some huge wins, the inconsistency remains under Ferguson, who will likely move along after the next five games.
Rangers and the 49ers will be hoping the impending takeover is done ahead of June, though, so they can start planning for next season much sooner.
With a new manager, a complete squad overhaul and changes in the boardroom to make, the Americans will know the scale of the task ahead of them.

It is going to take a lot of money to sort the issues at Ibrox, but that is why they are in the position they are, wasting too much on rubbish both on and off the pitch.
Ferguson has made many changes at Rangers, but they must be used as the start of a new era for someone else, with the required experience.
Big names in all areas will be coming in, and all eyes will be on Paraag Marathe and Cavenagh to not only put their money where their mouths are but to spend it wisely to close the gap.
Celtic may have won this title, basically, but let’s hope this summer can change things.
