Connor Barron sends message after Aberdeen hostilities v Rangers
Rangers left it late again as they picked up a point against Aberdeen in a 2-2 draw on Sunday.
Although the Gers were 2-1 down going into injury time after playing an hour with 10 men, Ianis Hagi pulled magic out of the bag in the 96th minute to earn his side a point.
Barry Ferguson made several changes to his line-up for the clash, resting the majority of his players for Thursday’s Europa League quarter-final second leg against Athletic Bilbao.
That left Connor Barron wearing the captain’s armband against his former side.

Barron sends message after Rangers draw
Rangers’ draw on Sunday stopped Celtic from picking up the Scottish Premiership trophy, although it is still just a matter of time until it happens.
As a result, it’s no surprise that Ferguson was keen to make plenty of changes to his side rather than risking anyone ahead of a massive European game.
In a disappointing season, the Europa League is the only thing left to play for at Ibrox, and the squad will be feeling the pressure ahead of the away leg.
With the usual leaders out of the side, Barron was given the armband by Ferguson as he made the return to face his former side, and that went as hostile as imagined.

Barron made the switch from Aberdeen to Rangers in the summer although it was a controversial move with a tribunal needed to agree on a fee for his services.
As a result, the home support booed their former player every time he touched the ball which seemingly had an impact as the midfielder gave away a poor free-kick which led to a goal for Aberdeen.
Nevertheless, with a point gained, Barron was keen to focus on the positives after the game as he posted on Instagram to say: “It was an honour to captain the team today. A proud moment for me and my family.”
Ferguson ready for Europa League
Although Rangers would have been keen to come away from Ibrox with an advantage, given the circumstances a 0-0 draw was a good result.
Robin Propper’s early red card already gave the Light Blues a monumental task, and Liam Kelly was forced to earn his place between the sticks with a penalty save.
Having gained a late point in league action, supporters at Ibrox will be hoping that Ferguson’s men have some momentum to take into the game.
Away form has taken a positive turn under the interim boss and, having got past Fenerbahce in the previous round, proves the Bears can do it.
As a refreshed team, the energy should be high and Rangers need to get a hold of the game early on.
