Connor Barron absolutely crumbles to Aberdeen hostilities in Rangers incident
Connor Barron was a thorn in Rangers’ side as they went into half-time 2-0 down against Aberdeen.
Barry Ferguson‘s side has suffered defeat in their last two league matches at Ibrox to Motherwell (1 March) and Hibernian (5 April).
However, their away form has seen them beat Kilmarnock (26 February), Dundee (29 March) and Celtic (16 March) and they were looking to get back to winning ways in the Scottish Premiership on the road again.
Their task was made much harder as Barron struggled to cope with the hostile atmosphere at Pittodrie on 13 April.

Barron struggles with hostile atmosphere v Aberdeen
The former Aberdeen star crumbled under the pressure after his controversial move to Rangers last summer.
He was at fault for the free-kick that allowed Leighton Clarkson to open the scoring as he lunged in to foul his man when he did not need to.
It was a ridiculous challenge and a sign that he could not handle the jeers from the hostile crowd as he returned to his old stomping ground.

Ferguson needs the likes of Barron to step up
If Ferguson is to get the role on a permanent basis, he needs his side to turn their form around and win matches consistently and players like Barron to make an impact.
It is no good beating the league leaders on the road, if you are going to lose at home against lesser sides regularly.

The Gers legend still has a chance to secure the job but he needs his players to step up, not just in the Europa League but also domestically with the 22-year-old yet to fully impress this season.
European success should do his chances a world of good, as surely the 49ers cannot look anywhere else if he succeeds and beats the likes of Tottenham and Manchester United to the trophy.
However, if they do not feel like he is capable of bridging the gap to Celtic, then he will be moved on, and a capable replacement will be brought in to try and speed up the process.
