Rangers ace Ianis Hagi exit on the cards amid major transfer development
Ianis Hagi’s contract at Rangers is set to expire at the end of the 2024/25 season and he has been linked with an exit.
The Romania international appeared to be on his way out last summer as well but he stayed put for the entire campaign.
There was a contractual stand-off as well with the Gers hierarchy, but that issue was resolved within a few months.

Jose Mourinho offered Hagi on a free transfer
Hagi continues to be linked with a move to Turkey, as Fenerbahce have held a long-standing interest in him.
Now, Jose Mourinho, the Fenerbahce manager, has been offered the 26-year-old’s services on a free transfer, per Spotmedia.
The iconic football manager has yet to decide if he does fancy bringing Hagi to the Istanbul outfit this summer.

However, it seems certain that the Romanian will be parting ways with the Ibrox side once his contract runs out.
He’s no longer a first-team regular and it’s unclear if things will change under the new manager.

San Francisco 49ers must eye a similar profile player to Hagi at Rangers
If Ianis Hagi departs Rangers as a free agent, the San Francisco 49ers must prioritise signing a similar creative midfielder to bolster the Ibrox outfit.
The Romanian’s flair, vision and versatility across attacking midfield and wings make him a catalyst for unlocking defences.
Utilising their financial muscle and analytics-driven scouting, the 49ers can explore European markets for undervalued gems with Hagi’s profile – high creativity, pressing intensity, and adaptability.
By empowering Gers’ recruitment team to act decisively in the summer window, offering competitive wages and a defined role in the manager’s system, they can secure a Hagi-esque talent, ensuring the Ibrox outfit remain dominant domestically and competitive in Europe.
It seems clear that Hagi does not want to stay at Ibrox and thus, planning in advance for a replacement makes a lot of sense and that can be done once the takeover is completed.
