Rangers injury news: Major Vaclav Cerny blow revealed
Rangers attacker Vaclav Cerny was dealing with either tightness or a Grade 1 injury, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.
The injury expert claims that the Czech Republic international playing around an hour against Hibernian suggests that it wasn’t a serious setback.
The 27-year-old also played 90 minutes in the 0-0 draw against Athletic Bilbao on Thursday.

Cerny carries a small risk of re-injury
Despite playing the full game in the Europa League, it seems like the winger may still carry a small risk of re-injury.
While he appears at or close to being back to full fitness, given the wear and tear of the campaign, there is always the minor possibility.
Speaking about this situation, Dr Rajpal Brar, a doctor in physical therapy and a sports scientist, exclusively told Ibrox News: “Highly doubt he was at full fitness against Hibernian but his availability suggests he was dealing either with just tightness or a Grade 1 strain.
“The fact that he played the full 90 minutes in mid-week suggests that he could be back to being 100 per cent.
“Despite that, there is a small risk of re-injury.“

Barry Ferguson must rest Cerny for Rangers clash against Aberdeen
Cerny carries a minor injury risk that warrants caution ahead of the weekend clash with Aberdeen on 13 April.
With the Scottish Premiership title already out of reach, preserving the attacker for more critical battles makes strategic sense.
The Europa League offers a tangible opportunity for silverware, and Rangers hold a strong position going into the second leg against Athletic Bilbao in Spain.

Risking Cerny in a domestic fixture with little bearing on the season’s outcome could jeopardise his availability for this pivotal European match.
His dynamism and attacking threat are vital for Gers’ continental ambitions and ensuring he’s fully fit maximises their chances of advancing.
Resting him now allows recovery time, ensuring he’s fresh and impactful in Bilbao, where a victory could propel the Ibrox outfit deeper into the competition and keep their European dreams alive.
