Raskin and Diomande ‘transfer interest set’ as Rangers exit on cards
Rangers will be delighted with Nico Raskin and Mohamed Diomande this season despite enduring a challenging spell at Ibrox.
The Gers have endured another brutal campaign, with Philippe Clement seeing the exit door mid-way through the season.
Barry Ferguson has taken interim charge at Ibrox, but whether the Scotsman remains in the dugout for the upcoming campaign remains to be seen.
Despite several struggles at the Glaswegian outfit, Raskin has gained international recognition with Belgium, and Diomande has been a standout star for the Light Blues, leading to speculated interest in the coming months.

Rangers to cash in on Raskin and Diomande in summer transfer window
Raskin and Diomande may attract interest from other clubs in the upcoming transfer window after what they’ve done at Ibrox, Stephen McGinn says.
The former Scottish midfielder feels the Gers could potentially cash in on the midfield duo if offers are made next summer.
Player | Appearances | Goals | Assists |
Raskin | 41 | 2 | 7 |
Diomande | 47 | 6 | 7 |
McGinn believes a case can be made for the Belgian star and Ivory Coast international’s sales in the coming months because of their performances.
Speaking on the Go Radio Football Show (9 April), the ex-St Mirren ace said: “You could maybe make a case for all of them moving on. And I even mean Raskin and Diomande to make a bit of money because they’ve had decent enough seasons. There might be some interest.”
Ibrox devastation on cards with Raskin and Diomande transfer exit
Aston Villa and Leeds United have shown interest in Raskin, and one can’t blame the midfielder if he wanted to move down south.
The 24-year-old has slowly carved a place for himself in the Bears’ starting lineup after initially struggling to break into Clement’s plans.
It isn’t surprising to see top teams in England wanting the Belgium international, and with 49ers Enterprises looking to take over at Ibrox, Leeds may be an enticing destination for him.
Diomande’s impact at Rangers has also caught a lot of people’s attention, and his possible departure could mean the loss of serious quality.
The Gers will arguably have to replace the two if they end up leaving, which will be a challenging task.
Hamza Igamane is another player attracting interest away from the Light Blues after breaking out in the Scottish Premiership.
Andrew Cavenagh and the 49ers can’t complete their takeover soon enough, as they need the right people in place to make decisions regarding the squad.
With the financial situation at the Glaswegian outfit not the best, the Ibrox faithful could be in for a devastating reality next summer.
