Ferguson blames Philippe Clement amid ‘strange’ Hamza Igamane development
Hamza Igamane was attracting widespread transfer interest during the winter window, but his drop-off in form at Rangers since then has been pretty alarming.
Moroccan forward Igamane was touted as a target for Newcastle United, Everton and Tottenham among others.
More recently, Sevilla are said to be eyeing a summer transfer for Igamane, who continues to attract suitors despite his disappointing return of late.

Igamane form a worry for Ferguson at Rangers
Igamane has scored just one goal and assisted none in his past 14 appearances for Rangers, stretching back to mid-January.
The 22-year-old has been a regular for Rangers this campaign, both under Philippe Clement and now Barry Ferguson.
Speaking exclusively to Ibrox News, pundit Derek Ferguson – brother of interim boss Barry – suggested Igamane’s loss of form could be down to poor management under the previous regime.
“His recent drop-off in form has been a strange on,” Ferguson said. “He’s looked devoid of confidence all of a sudden.
“He just hasn’t looked the same player as a couple of months ago. You’ve got to factor in that he’s a young guy. Has he been managed correctly? I’m not so sure.
“Maybe Clement could have taken him out for a game or two. But there is clearly a player there with great ability.
“You want to keep the guys with his ability, which I’m sure the owners will do, but I’d love to know what the management team make of his situation.”

How many goals has Igamane scored for Rangers?
In the midst of this underwhelming run of form from Igamane, he did score a late winner to win the Old Firm clash with Celtic last month.
In many ways, that goal was better than netting in 10 games either side in the view of supporters.

Goals | 14 |
Assists | 2 |
And even accounting for his recent form, Igamane still has 14 goals in the Scottish Premiership and Europa League combined, plus a couple of assists.
That is certainly not the worst return ever for a player’s first season in the country, but at the same time a lot more was expected in the second half of the campaign.
In many ways it may be a blessing in disguise if it puts teams elsewhere off making a bid for the forward come the summer.
