Rangers reveal ‘Astonishing’ live on BBC Sportsound in win v Dundee
Rangers somehow sealed another unbelievable comeback at Dens Park on Saturday, beating Dundee 4-3 despite being two goals behind twice.
Simon Murray and Joe Shaughnessy scored in the opening twenty minutes for Tony Docherty’s side as Rangers could only claw back one goal through an own goal before the break.
After Scott Tiffoney fired home in the second half, James Tavernier, Tom Lawrence, and Cyriel Dessers turned things around in spectacular fashion.
Jack Butland once again conceded two or more goals in the Scottish Premiership, though, with an “astonishing” stat coming to light during the game.

Rangers stink at the back again
In their last five league games, Rangers have conceded two or more goals, including the home loss to St. Mirren that saw Phillipe Clement sacked.
Ferguson’s side also conceded two goals in their stunning 4-2 win over Kilmarnock, with Butland opening the door against Motherwell and in the Old Firm derby.

Speaking on BBC Sportsound [29 March, 17:53], Alasdair Lamont spoke about a record that has been broken for the first time since 1986.
He said: “I can tell you that the second goal means that Rangers, for a first time since April 1986, have conceded two or more goals in five consecutive league games. Pretty astonishing.”

Europa League result to decide Barry Ferguson’s future
Rangers are nowhere close to Celtic in the Premiership, with Brendan Rodgers’ side cruising to another league title. The Light Blues sacked Clement in February and appointed Ferguson as interim manager.
The Scotsman has done a fantastic job, taking Rangers to the quarters of the Europa League by eliminating Jose Mourinho’s Fenerbahce in the round of 16.
He has made a strong case for himself to be considered for a permanent role at Ibrox.
With a takeover on the cards for the Glaswegian side, the new owners will be watching closely how Ferguson’s side performs in the quarter-finals against the Athletic Club.
If Rangers manage to get to the semi-finals of the European competition, Ferguson would take a big leap in convincing the new owners to let him remain in charge of the Gers.
The Scottish giants will play the first leg at Ibrox on 10 April and then play the return leg at San Memes a week later.
