Tony Docherty shares big Lyall Cameron update ahead of Dundee v Rangers
Rangers have been handed a significant boost from their future signing Lyall Cameron ahead of their game against Dundee.
The 22-year-old has been one of the Dark Blues’ most impressive players this season and would provide an obvious threat to Barry Ferguson’s team when they meet on Saturday (29 March).
Rangers are all too aware of Cameron’s footballing qualities, which is why they agreed a pre-contract with him last month.
Cameron will be moving to Ibrox at the end of this season, but first, he had a chance to inflict some damage on them in a bid to prove his professionalism for Dundee.

Lyall Cameron might not be impressing his future teammates
Cameron might have been looking forward to an opportunity to play against his future Rangers teammates at the weekend, but Dundee manager Tony Docherty has admitted that’s doubtful.
Docherty confirmed during his pre-match press conference that the midfielder has “picked up a wee injury” during training this week.

The academy graduate is struggling with the issue, and the Dundee boss said, “He’s getting sent for a scan this afternoon, so we’ll see what comes back from that. We don’t know how serious it is at the moment.”
It’s a situation that might have Rangers conflicted, given that Cameron potentially not playing against them on Saturday certainly helps their chances of winning due to his talent.
On the other hand, the Gers will not want to see Cameron deal with any serious fitness issues just months before he joins the club.

Rangers must place pressure on Celtic
Rangers are currently 13 points behind Celtic in the Scottish Premiership, which is a gap that fans believe is far too significant.
It might be a tall task to get anywhere near close to Brendan Rodgers’ men, but the expectation on Ferguson is to shrink the gap as much as possible before the season ends.
That will require Celtic to slip up at some point, but it also means Rangers need to be perfect in a bid to capitalise on any mistakes the Hoops might make.
In addition, Ferguson will be continuing to try and stake his claim to the full-time Rangers management position when the season ends.
