Rangers have ‘Impossible’ Barry Ferguson decision if one thing happens
Barry Ferguson has put himself in the frame to be the next permanent Rangers manager after what’s happened at Ibrox.
The Gers icon was appointed interim boss after Patrick Stewart sacked Philippe Clement for inconsistent performances at the Glaswegian outfit.
Ferguson has done well at Ibrox in his temporary role, and the San Francisco 49ers may have a massive decision to make once they complete their potential takeover of the Light Blues.
The Bears are in the quarter-finals of the Europa League after beating Fenerbahce, and progressing further in the competition will be a massive achievement for them.

Ferguson decision will be impossible if Rangers beat Athletic Club
It will be impossible for the Glaswegian outfit to dismiss Ferguson if they beat Athletic Club in the Europa League, Barry Nicholson says.
The ex-Gers midfielder believes the interim boss would potentially remain in the Ibrox dugout if the Light Blues get past the La Liga outfit in the quarter-finals.
Nicholson feels the game in Bilbao will be massive in determining the former Scotland international’s continuity as the Bears manager.
Speaking on PLZ Soccer (28 March), the former attacking midfielder said: “What [Ferguson] has done so far, he’s certainly put himself in the frame.
“He’s talking about only concentrating until the end of the season. But if he keeps going, I think the Bilbao game is a massive fixture. This is going to be a massively different test than Fenerbahce. If they come through that, it almost becomes impossible not to give him the job.”
Ibrox faithful will demand new Ferguson contract in case of Europa League triumph
Having beaten Celtic at Parkhead before the international break, Ferguson is already in good stead at Ibrox ahead of the possible takeover.
The Gers icon has already shown he can go up against the best managers and get the better of them, with Jose Mourinho recently faltering against the Light Blues.
Andrew Cavanagh and the 49ers will undoubtedly consider the former Scotland international as they deliberate on the Glaswegian outfit’s next permanent boss.
Rangers will welcome Athletic to Ibrox on 10 April before travelling to Bilbao for the second leg of the Europa League tie a week later.
The Spanish club are enjoying an impressive domestic campaign, only sitting behind Barcelona, Real Madrid and Atletico in the league table.
Ferguson hasn’t had an easy time of things since taking over temporarily, with the Gers’ defensive frailties on show in recent matches.
The Gers icon has tried to change things, though, opting for a different setup and playing five defenders in his starting lineup.
Athletic will arguably be the favourites against the Bears, but the interim coaching team have the chance to make history at Ibrox.
