Vaclav Cerny permanent transfer update shared straight from Rangers
Vaclav Cerny’s loan deal with Rangers expires at the end of the season, leaving them with a decision to make.
Cerny joined the Gers on loan from Wolfsburg at the start of the campaign and has been a rare bright spark in an otherwise dismal season.
With the summer transfer window approaching, those in charge at Ibrox will have a decision to make on whether to make a move for Cerny’s services permanently.
However, with the 49ers Enterprises looking to complete a takeover and Barry Ferguson only on an interim contract until the end of the season, it is unknown who this decision will come down to.

Ferguson offers Cerny verdict
It may have been a disappointing season at Ibrox, but Cerny, 27, has had an excellent first season with the Light Blues.
The winger has contributed plenty at the top end of the pitch to help his side’s efforts in Scottish Premiership and cup action.
Appearances | Goals | Assists |
37 | 17 | 4 |
Although the title race is long gone, Ferguson’s side does have the Europa League to play for after beating Fenerbahce to get to the quarter-finals of the competition.
Before facing another European challenge, though, the Bears have domestic action to contest with as they return from the international break to face Dundee on Sunday (30 March).
It was a successful break for Cerny, who represented the Czech international side, contributing a goal and an assist in a 4-0 victory against Gibraltar.
Speaking in his pre-match press conference via X, Ferguson has backed the winger to provide the same services at club level, speculating what the future could hold: “Cerny has been outstanding since I have come in – I have asked him to do things that may not previously have been a part of his game.
“He is a difference-maker, and his work without the ball has been excellent – I would love to see him stay at the club.”

Rangers must keep Cerny
Although Rangers fans will be looking ahead to the summer with optimism ahead of their takeover, as it stands, things are also uncertain.
There have been suggestions that Ferguson is being considered for a full-time appointment at Ibrox.
However, the new owners will have high expectations and instead, look set to bring in their own appointment to Ibrox at the end of the campaign.
Even with a new face at the helm, Cerny has certainly shown the reasons why he is worth being kept on a permanent deal.
It has been reported that the Gers would have to pay £6.5million to make Cerny’s loan a permanent deal in the summer transfer window, but with increased money coming into the fold, this one would surely be worth it.
The Czech international is reportedly keen on staying in Scotland, which would also give Rangers a good starting point to be able to strike a deal.
With some big games to come at Ibrox, Cerny will need to keep his standards high and show the new manager why his recruitment is a no-brainer.
