49ers ready to sell Nicolas Raskin after £20m transfer reveal emerges at Rangers
Rangers are set for plenty of change ahead of the new season as the 49ers Enterprises look to complete a takeover of the Glasgow club.
Barry Ferguson has been overseeing a transformation at Ibrox since he was appointed interim manager following Philippe Clement’s sacking.
However, it seems unlikely that he will oversee the summer transfer window as the Gers look to start a project that puts them in a more sustainable position going forward.

49ers may have Nicolas Raskin transfer lined up
Although Rangers will want to bring in several new players that can improve the quality of the side, if the Light Blues are to become a sustainable club, they will also need to look at bringing money into the fold at Ibrox.
There is a long-term plan at Ibrox to develop talent before selling on to keep banking big profits.
With that in mind, Nicolas Raskin is someone who could depart from Rangers at the end of the campaign with plenty of interest surrounding the 24-year-old.

According to TEAMtalk (26 March), if Rangers are to let go of the Belgium international in the summer, they will be expecting a fee of £20million upwards before making a consideration.
The report states that Leeds United, Aston Villa and Brentford are all interested in Raskin’s services, and one team on that list may be preferred by the new owners.

Rangers to kick off relationship with Leeds United
If the 49ers’ takeover at Rangers goes through, the Scottish Premiership club could find itself forming a relationship with Leeds United, who are also owned by the 49ers.
There have already been suggestions about a feeder club relationship between the two sides owned by the 49ers, although whether the Light Blues would be happy about that label is to be seen.
Whether that is the case or not, though, the two teams can work together to help each other out. If Rangers are prepared to let Raskin go and Leeds are after his services, then a deal can be struck that would naturally benefit both clubs.
While things in Glasgow should start looking up for Rangers fairly soon under new ownership, the new chiefs will be well aware that they can’t just bring good players in without creating a sustainable model behind the scenes.
Therefore, they may already be making a grander plan and lining this transfer deal up, which could mark the start of a new relationship between Rangers and Leeds.
