Vaclav Cerny set for extended ban at Rangers – Exclusive
Vaclav Cerny faces a nervous wait during the international break after his actions in Rangers’ 3-2 win against Celtic on Sunday afternoon.
The Czechia international caught headlines after spraying home fans with water during the celebrations of Hamza Igamane’s late winner at Parkhead.
It has been suggested that Cerny could face up to an eight-game ban, which would end his domestic season at Ibrox on loan from Wolfsburg.

Scottish FA to extend Cerny ban at Rangers
Keith Hackett has warned that Cerny may face a five-game ban from the SPFL and Scottish FA, with a deterrent needed against further possible offences.
Speaking exclusively to Ibrox News, the ex-FIFA official shared what could make the ban increase from a standard punishment from the Scottish FA.
“It was a stupid spur-of-the-moment act that is totally unacceptable,” Hackett said.
“A sanction will be imposed, and it should certainly merit more than a three-match ban.
“What will determine the increase above three games will be the players’ previous record and any precedent that has been set in similar cases that the authorities have to deal with.
“I would tend to think a five-game ban rather than eight.
“However, the authorities will want to set a punishment that acts as a deterrent and one that sends out a strong message to other players.“

Barry Ferguson blow at Ibrox
Cerny has been a shining light in Govan this season, and it would be a massive blow to lose him for any games, never mind five.
With the split coming up after three more domestic games, the winger could miss the last Old Firm clash of the season, depending on how the fixture falls.
Barry Ferguson refused to comment on this incident, but after ignoring his medical staff to start Cerny at Parkhead, it would be disappointing for it to end like this.

Cerny has already labelled the fallout from some water as “absurd” this week, but he could return from international duty to a slap on the wrist, it seems.
Only time will tell, but the Europa League may be his last chance to play at Ibrox now.
