Graham Spiers stunned by official Rangers announcement from Ibrox
Rangers have been charged by UEFA after ugly scenes in their Europa League victory against Fenerbahce on Thursday.
Barry Ferguson has guided the Bears to the quarter-finals of the competition, beating the Turkish giants on penalties after losing 2-0 on the night in Glasgow.
UEFA have charged Rangers for the display of what they describe as a “racist and/or discriminatory banner”, as well as throwing objects from the Ibrox stands.

Rangers hit back at fans with strong statement
Rangers have hit back at the fans, though, insisting they are not welcome if they don’t believe everyone is welcome to follow the club, with Graham Spiers wowed.
Writing on X after the official announcement on Wednesday, Spiers was blown away by the strong nature of the statement.
He wrote: “For the avoidance of doubt, if you do not believe in 2025 that absolutely everyone is welcome to follow Rangers whether at Ibrox or away, then Rangers is not the club for you, and you should disassociate yourself with the club immediately.
“Wow, Rangers, what a statement.”

Rangers head towards new era with huge takeover
With Andrew Cavenagh present at both wins over Fenerbahce and Celtic in the past week, it signals that a new era is just around the corner at Ibrox.
Despite that, some fans are still stuck in the past, and it is Rangers who are facing the consequences.
This isn’t the first time this has happened, and the same goes for pyrotechnics, with a couple used at Parkhead despite punishments already being handed down on the Govan club.
Scottish Premiership | W | D | L | P |
Celtic | 24 | 3 | 2 | 75 |
Rangers | 18 | 5 | 7 | 59 |
In a season with very little to cheer domestically, it’s a shame that a couple of big wins have been greeted with UEFA charges and potential further punishment from the Scottish FA.
Rangers will now have eyes on the quarter-finals of the Europa League, though, with a huge tie against Athletic Bilbao coming up ahead of the Scottish Premiership split.
That will bring another Old Firm derby and a chance to make it three consecutive wins in that fixture.
Those in power at Ibrox appear to have had enough, and it is great to see them taking a stand against these so-called fans who may just ruin it for everyone else.
