Chris Sutton hits out at Rangers fan ‘nonsense’ at Celtic Park that he saw
Chris Sutton has a complaint about Rangers fans for their actions in the win against Celtic on Sunday.
The Gers travelled to Celtic Park on 16 March and came away with a famous three points thanks to a Hamza Igamane strike.
Barry Ferguson’s side nearly threw it away after being 2-0 up but managed to secure an Old Firm victory for the first time in three years at Parkhead.
It was the perfect result as away fans were finally welcomed back into the derby but Sutton has been left angry by what he saw from the Light Blues faithful.

Sutton slams Rangers fans after Celtic win
There was plenty of emotion surrounding the clash, especially just days after a Europa League penalty shootout win was secured against Fenerbahce.
It is safe to say that the Govan club used that to their advantage as they took a two-goal lead before the interval to put a hush over Celtic Park.
This did change when the scores were levelled by Reo Hatate but flipped the other way once again when Igamane smashed a strike past Kasper Schmeichel.
In reaction to this goal, flares and objects were thrown while Vaclav Cerny sprayed water at the home fans and sparked anger by the Gers’ dugout.
This hasn’t gone down well with former Celtic striker Sutton in his Daily Record column (18 March, page 50), as he has slammed the away fans for their actions
He said: “We’re repeatedly seeing incidents of missiles being thrown, fireworks and flares going off and other carry on. We don’t need players adding to the mayhem. The game sells itself.
“Sunday was a sensational football match and it would have had viewers captivated all over the world. It pretty much always is. We don’t need any more nonsense.”

Rangers fans play their part v Celtic
Whatever Sutton says, the Light Blues supporters were terrific on the day and certainly helped make the derby into a better spectacle.
In a game of such importance, there is always going to be crazy reactions and although flares and missiles being thrown can’t be justified, the Celtic fans would only do the same at Ibrox.
This has been the case in the past and certainly was in the other Old Firm matches earlier on in the campaign.

Regardless of any fan trouble, Ferguson’s side did their talking on the pitch and were able to take a huge three points under the interim coach.
It will now be interesting to see if the G51 club receive any sort of fine for the issues raised by Sutton in the coming days and weeks.
